Salvation In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Through him all things were made; God created man in his image, in the image of God he created him, male and female, created he them. God placed Adam in the Garden of Eden and created Eve to be his wife. God gave them dominion over all the earth. He said to them, be fruitful and multiple, dress the garden and keep it. From every tree you can freely eat, every tree except the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, for the day you eat from it, you will surely die. Eve was tempted and deceived by the evil one and disobeyed the will of God. Eve took fruit from the tree and ate it, and gave some to Adam.
(Genesis) This disobedience brought spiritual separation between God and man. Disobedience to God is Sin.
The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life. (Romans 6:23)
Sin separates us from God who is Holy and Righteous. God requires a price be paid, [a penalty] for sin. The [penalty] or wages for sin is death, (Romans 6:23), Physical and Spiritual death. But God had a plan from the beginning. He sent his word, the image of Himself, Jesus, as a sacrifice, the Lamb of God to take away the sin of the world (John 1:29). Jesus was sent to show us the way back to God and to pay the price for Sin. For as Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive (I Corinthians 15:22).
Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the Sin of the world. (John 1:29)
He was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was upon him and with his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Jesus clearly tells us who he is and why we can trust him. He said; come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28); I am the way the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father but by me (John 14:6). I have come to give you life and life more abundantly (John 10:10).
